PA, October 2, 2006 – Pigskin is once
again on the menu during Steelers football season
this year, as Uncle Charley’s Sausage
takes center stage in the South Side to begin
its hunt for the 2006 Sausage King or Queen.
Uncle Charley’s Sausage Company announces
its annual search for “Alimentary Athletes”
who are first to eat eight dinner link-size
sausages during the Company’s 4th Annual
Sausage Eating Contest. The first of three contests
kicks off on Thursday, October 12th at Cupka’s
II in the South Side at 7:30 p.m.
Here’s how the road to being crowned the

top three (First, Second and Third Place) winners
of each of those contests who consume eight
Uncle Charley’s dinner links will compete
in a grand championship. The first round will
be on Thursday, October 12th at 7:30 p.m. at
Cupka’s II. The second round will be held
on Thursday, November 2nd at 7:30 p.m. at Cupka’s

Tailgate Party on the Carnegie Science Center
lawn across from Heinz Field before the Steelers-
Tampa Bay game (kickoff 1:00 p.m.)
All contestants will receive commemorative T-shirts,
and First, Second and Third Place winners will
receive trophies. The grand champion sausage
stuffer on December 3rd will receive a weekend
getaway at a nearby resort, as well as a year’s
supply of premium Uncle Charley’s Sausage.
